TEC Trainer Principals
As the President of TEC Trainer, Kirt focuses most of his energy in sales and new product development. His passion for introducing the field of Controls Engineering to a younger audience frequently has him speaking with educators and administrators, finding ways to create introductory programs in middle and high schools. With degrees in Robotics and Computer Science, Kirt has spent the majority of his career, prior to TEC Trainer, as a Controls Engineer focused on Systems Integration and SCADA development. He has also worked on customized projects ranging from RFID and Precision Web Converting to Optical Film Manufacturing and Rock Crushing.
In his role as V.P. and Training Director, Josh spends most of his time creating new training programs and course materials. He also serves as the primary instructor for all Electrical and PLC-based classes. Josh holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. His 15 years in Controls Engineering have given him a vast array of experiences in disciplines ranging from Manufacturing to Power Generation and as a Systems Integrator in dozens of manufacturing industries. His ability to deliver complex topics in common-sense terms is vital to the classroom success of TEC Trainer.
A lifelong leader and entrepreneur, Mel was one of the pioneers in IT Consulting in Western Wisconsin. As the Founder, Owner and Principal Systems Engineer of Imagineering IT Consulting in Eau Claire, WI, Mel built and ran a highly successful organization until he sold it in 2006. In addition to Information Technology, Mel has a background in Electronics and Fluid Power. As the Vice President of TEC Trainer, Mel provides oversight of the IT infrastructure, contributes heavily to all course materials in the IT arena and provides invaluable direction in the areas of market and product development.
